Torchlight: Socratic method inspired within the curriculum

Torchlight is a great resource for all learners and unschoolers. Students get the opportunity to focus on reading, but the curriculum is structured weekly so that they can explore different topics such as math/literature. This resource is a wide-ranging curriculum based tool. It includes hands-on learning, game-schooling, media tools, etc made for the best outcomes in student learning. Torchlight uses a secular approach that is upheld by important values allowing children to mold themselves into the curriculum and go at their own pace. Tiffany Petty wrote the curriculum and was inspired by her children. She found the best ways to homeschool her children with ample resources. Through her professional career working as an Educator at a non-profit, she learned to create curriculum. Torchlight curriculum requires the books from the book list online that is designated for each level. It also states that students need supplies from the supplies list in order to complete the projects in the subjects. If students do not like reading, they can engage through audiobooks. Torchlight curriculum is very flexible towards students needs because they can go at their own pace. It was created to support different learners and is especially diverse with their hands-on projects which parents love. The curriculum takes on a humanist approach that parents can share with their children through the literature. I haven't seen any negative reviews about this curriculum although if I were a parent, I might consider the pricing. Each bundle is up to $30-$45 for every level, but I think that is a reasonable pricing. We add that parents purchase the bundle that include worksheets and lesson plans for the student. Literature books are needed, but parents can find these books at a local library or online.

Grades: Pre-K-3rd Grade

Cost: Each level of the Torchlight curriculum offers a textbook that includes lesson plans for every week for 36 weeks. The level Pre K book is $30. The level K book is $30 and the level 1 book is $40. The level 2 book is $40. As you can see, these are what the prices look like for the curriculum.
