TTU K-12: Best online school for extensive course options

At Texas Tech University, students have the option to take individual courses or enroll in a full-time course that allows students to set their own pace and engage in self-directed learning. Texas Tech University K-12 allows students to have control and flexibility around what courses they take, the pace they go at, and allows for making up failed courses. TTU K-12 was originally established to help students whose needs were not being met in a traditional in-person setting, and it continues to provide non-traditional schooling options today. Students can sign up for individual courses or enroll full-time. They can then structure the course to fit their own pace and meet with or reach out to instructors as needed. A huge draw for TTU-K12 is that they have rigorous coursework that prepares students well for further education, as well as being very flexible with scheduling, making it a good option for any non-traditional student. A major concern was that a large portion of time was required by parents to help teach the students. Parents also expressed concern that the final was the main part of their grade, making it hard to know how well a student would do in the class until the very end.
